Why I Started BennyBee
The personal story behind BennyBee, how a father-and-son project became natural lip and skin care, and what guides how we make products today.

Hi, I am Leo. BennyBee started when my son was 8 and curious about what it would be like to sell something to his friends and how a real business works. I told him we could learn it together, and we decided to build something side by side instead of only talking about it.
At first I thought the lesson would be about business basics. Make something, share it, learn from the feedback, try again. But the deeper I got into BennyBee, the more I realized the real lesson was about care. If we were going to put our name on something, it had to feel useful, honest, and worth keeping in someone's daily routine.
Lip balm made sense as a starting point. It is small, but it is personal. You notice whether it feels comfortable, whether the scent is pleasant, and whether it becomes the tube you keep reaching for.
The idea that kept getting clearer
BennyBee did not begin as a plan to chase every trend in skin care. It began with a simple question: can we make products that feel natural, warm, and easy to trust?
As the brand took shape, shea butter became part of the story people could understand right away. It is familiar, rich, and connected to comfort. It gave BennyBee a clear direction: soft, practical care for lips and skin.
That mattered more than sounding complicated. I wanted people to see a BennyBee product and understand what it was trying to do: help lips and skin feel soft and comfortable in ordinary moments.
A brand built on familiar ingredients
I have always liked ingredients that are easy to recognize. Beeswax, coconut oil, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter all feel connected to a more grounded kind of care.
BennyBee should feel polished without becoming cold or hard to understand. The label should make sense, not overwhelm you.
When we talk about ingredients, the goal is education, not a chemistry lesson. You should be able to learn what an ingredient is, where it comes from, and how it supports comfortable daily use.
BennyBee began as a family idea, but it became a product philosophy: make simple, useful care worth reaching for.
Small batches and real attention
BennyBee started small, and that is still reflected in how we make products today.
Small batches keep us close to the work. Every jar, tube, and label matters. There are real people behind BennyBee who care about how the product shows up in someone's day.
BennyBee should feel warm and polished. Natural and refined. Simple, but not careless.
The routine taking shape
The clearest direction is still natural care for lips and skin. Shea butter keeps that story easy to understand, while botanical ingredients such as apricot kernel oil, sunflower oil, calendula, and chamomile help express the natural side of the brand.
As BennyBee grows, I want the product line to feel connected. Lip balms, face cream, and body cream should all feel like they belong to the same world: soft, natural, useful, and made for daily use.
That is the kind of brand I want to build. Not one that overwhelms people, but one that helps them find simple products they enjoy using.
A practical place to begin
If you are new to BennyBee, start with the lip balms. They are the clearest expression of where the brand began: small, useful, carefully presented, and made for daily carry.
Then explore the ingredient stories behind the products. The ingredient pages are where you can learn more about shea butter, beeswax, cocoa butter, botanical oils, and the natural materials that shape the BennyBee world.
