Why Your Nighttime Moisturizer Matters More Than You Think
Your nighttime routine doesn't need ten steps. Learn how hydration, humectants, botanical-infused oils and shea butter come together in a thoughtfully formulated face cream.

At the end of the day, your skin has been through a lot.
Cleansing removes makeup, sunscreen, sweat, oil and everything else that has accumulated throughout the day. But cleansing can also leave your skin feeling like it needs moisture.
That's where a good nighttime moisturizer comes in.
You don't need a complicated routine. For many people, nighttime skin care can be surprisingly simple: cleanse, moisturize, and give your skin what it needs to feel comfortable before bed.
Night Is a Good Time to Focus on Hydration
During the day, your moisturizer has to compete with everything else you may put on your face—sunscreen, makeup, heat, humidity and the rest of your daily routine.
At night, things are simpler.
After cleansing, a moisturizer can be the final step. Its job isn't to perform some overnight miracle. It's to help replenish hydration and leave your skin feeling soft and conditioned.
And the ingredients used to accomplish that matter.
Hydration Is More Than Adding Oil
It's easy to associate dry skin with oils and butters. They can be excellent skin-conditioning ingredients, but a cream can do something an oil alone cannot: bring water, humectants and emollients together in one formula.
Humectants help attract and retain water.
Emollients help soften and condition the skin.
A well-formulated cream can combine both approaches—which is exactly what we wanted when developing BennyBee Face Cream.
Why We Use Manuka Honey
Honey is naturally hygroscopic, meaning it attracts and holds water.
That makes it particularly interesting in a moisturizer.
BennyBee Face Cream uses Manuka honey alongside glycerin as part of the formula's humectant system, helping support the hydration we wanted from the finished cream.
But hydration was only part of the formula.
We also wanted oils and butters that would leave the skin feeling comfortably conditioned.
Two Botanical-Infused Apricot Oils
Instead of using plain apricot kernel oil alone, our Face Cream incorporates two botanical infusions: calendula and chamomile.
We infuse these botanicals into apricot kernel oil before incorporating the infused oils into the cream.
Apricot kernel oil acts as an emollient, helping soften and condition the skin while giving us a beautiful base for our botanical infusions.
Calendula and chamomile have become an important part of the identity of this formula—and one of the things that makes it distinctly BennyBee.
And, of Course, Shea Butter
It wouldn't feel quite like BennyBee without shea butter.
Shea butter is an emollient rich in fatty acids and contributes to the soft, conditioned feel we want from our moisturizers.
But a face cream doesn't need to feel like a heavy body butter.
We use shea as one part of a larger emulsion alongside water, glycerin, Manuka honey and our botanical-infused oils.
The goal is balance.
A Simple Nighttime Routine
You don't need ten products lined up next to your sink.
Start with clean skin.
Then apply a small amount of moisturizer to your face and neck and gently massage it into the skin.
And don't forget your lips—a lip balm can finish the routine, particularly if you tend to wake up wanting more comfortable, conditioned lips.
That's it.
Cleanse. Moisturize. Lip care. Bed.
Simple routines are much easier to actually follow consistently.
What We Wanted From BennyBee Face Cream
When we created BennyBee Face Cream, we weren't interested in filling the jar with the longest ingredient list possible.
We wanted ingredients with a purpose.
Manuka honey and glycerin for humectant properties.
Apricot kernel oil for conditioning.
Calendula and chamomile for our botanical infusions.
Shea butter for the rich emollient character that runs through BennyBee skin care.
All brought together in a water-based cream designed to make nighttime moisturizing simple.
Your Nighttime Routine Doesn't Need to Be Complicated
Good skin care doesn't have to mean adding another five products to your bathroom counter.
Sometimes it's about finding a few products you enjoy using and using them consistently.
For BennyBee, nighttime skin care is exactly that kind of ritual: clean skin, thoughtful ingredients, good hydration, and a little time for yourself before the next day begins.
Purposeful everyday care starts with shea-centered lip and skin care.
