Tinted Lip Balm or Lipstick? When You Want Just a Hint of Color
Not every day calls for lipstick. Discover how tinted lip balm combines everyday lip care with a subtle wash of easy-to-wear color.

Some days call for lipstick.
Other days, you just want your lips to look a little more finished without feeling like you're wearing much at all.
That's where tinted lip balm fits in.
It sits somewhere between traditional lip care and lip color: the conditioning feel of a balm with a subtle wash of color.
And for everyday wear, sometimes that's exactly enough.
Lipstick and Tinted Lip Balm Have Different Jobs
Lipstick is primarily about color.
Depending on the formula, it can deliver everything from a sheer finish to bold, opaque pigment. If you want your lip color to be the focus of your look, lipstick makes sense.
Tinted lip balm starts somewhere else.
It's lip care first.
The tint is there to give your natural lip color a little something extra—not completely cover it.
That's exactly how we approached the BennyBee Tinted Lip Balm collection.
Start With the Balm
We didn't want to create lipstick and put it into a lip balm tube.
We wanted to start with what makes a balm feel good on your lips: butters, plant oils and a carefully balanced wax base.
Then we added subtle color.
That distinction matters.
You're still applying a product designed around conditioning your lips. The tint simply gives you another reason to reach for it throughout the day.
Color Without the Commitment
One of the best things about a subtle tint is how easy it is to wear.
No lip liner.
No carefully tracing the edges of your lips.
No worrying about creating a perfectly opaque layer.
Swipe it on like your regular lip balm and go.
The result isn't intended to dramatically change the color of your lips. Instead, the tint works with your natural lip tone, so the final appearance can vary slightly from person to person.
That's part of what makes it easy.
A Little Shine Helps Too
Our tinted balms aren't designed for a flat, matte finish.
The oils in the formula—including castor oil—contribute to the smooth, conditioned feel while giving the lips a subtle sheen.
Not full lip-gloss shine.
Not matte lipstick.
Just a healthy-looking finish paired with a hint of color.
Four Shades, Four Different Moods
We created four tinted balms so you can choose the kind of subtle color that fits you.
Vanilla Glow brings a warm golden tint for naturally glowing lips.
Strawberry Kiss adds a sheer pink tint for a soft, comfortable finish.
Peach Bloom gives lips a soft peach tint with a fresh, naturally radiant look.
Ruby Rose brings a beautiful rosy tint for soft, naturally radiant lips.
None of them are meant to behave like opaque lipstick.
They're meant to be easy, wearable color built into your lip care.
When Tinted Balm Makes Sense
Tinted lip balm is especially useful when you want something you can keep in your bag or pocket and apply without much thought.
It's an easy option for work, running errands, going out for lunch, traveling—or simply those days when full makeup feels unnecessary.
And because the color is intentionally subtle, you can reapply it the same way you'd normally reapply your lip balm.
Lip Care Doesn't Have to Be Colorless
We love traditional lip balm. Most of the BennyBee collection is built around exactly that.
But lip care can also be fun.
Our Tinted Lip Balms were created for the space between bare lips and lipstick: enough color to add something, while keeping the conditioning experience of a balm at the center.
Sometimes you don't need a completely different beauty routine.
You just need your lip balm to do a little more.
Purposeful everyday care starts with shea-centered lip and skin care.
