Do You Really Need a Separate Face and Body Moisturizer?
Face cream and body cream may look similar, but they don't have to be formulated the same way. See why BennyBee created two different moisturizers for two different jobs.

You moisturize your face.
You moisturize your body.
So do you really need two different creams?
Not necessarily in every situation. But there are good reasons a moisturizer designed for your face may be formulated differently from one designed for the rest of your body.
At BennyBee, our Face Cream and Body Cream aren't the same product with different labels.
We formulated them differently because we wanted them to do different jobs and feel different on the skin.
Your Face and Body Have Different Needs
Think about how differently you treat the skin on your face.
Your face is exposed throughout most of the day. You may apply sunscreen, makeup or other skin care over it. And many people simply prefer a different texture on their face than they do on their arms, hands or legs.
For the body, a richer moisturizer can feel great, especially on areas that tend to feel dry.
That's why texture and formulation matter just as much as the words "face" and "body" on the jar.
Our Face Cream Takes a Lighter Approach
When developing BennyBee Face Cream, we specifically wanted something lighter than our Body Cream.
The formula combines water, calendula and chamomile-infused apricot kernel oil, shea butter, glycerin and Manuka honey.
Each has a different role.
Glycerin and honey contribute humectant properties.
Apricot kernel oil and shea butter help soften and condition the skin.
And our calendula and chamomile infusions give the formula its botanical character.
The result is the moisturizer we wanted specifically for the face, particularly as part of a simple nighttime routine.
Our Body Cream Is Intentionally Richer
Body Cream is where we can lean further into richness.
BennyBee Body Cream combines calendula-infused apricot kernel oil with shea butter, glycerin and a water-based cream formula.
We wanted something substantial for areas like your arms, hands, elbows and legs.
It is richer than our Face Cream on purpose.
That difference isn't a flaw we wanted to eliminate. It's part of the reason we developed two formulas.
Both Provide Hydration, Just Differently
Despite their differences, the two creams share an important idea.
They're both emulsified creams.
That means we're able to combine a water phase with oils and other ingredients in a stable cream.
This allows us to bring together humectants such as glycerin with emollients such as apricot kernel oil and shea butter.
So choosing between Face Cream and Body Cream isn't about deciding which contains the "better" ingredients.
It's about choosing the formulation designed for where you're using it.
Can You Put Body Cream on Your Face?
Some people use the same moisturizer everywhere and are perfectly happy doing so.
But if you find a rich body moisturizer too heavy for your face, a separate facial moisturizer makes sense.
That's exactly what happened while we were developing our own products.
We wanted the conditioning character we love from ingredients such as shea butter and apricot kernel oil, but we wanted the facial formula to have a lighter overall feel.
So instead of asking our Body Cream to do everything, we developed another formula.
Can You Use Face Cream on Your Body?
Of course.
But practically, it doesn't make much sense to use a smaller facial moisturizer all over your arms and legs when you have a product formulated specifically for larger areas of the body.
Your Face Cream can stay beside the sink or on your nightstand.
Your Body Cream can handle the rest.
Simple.
Two Creams With a Shared BennyBee Foundation
There is still a family resemblance between them.
Both formulas feature apricot kernel oil, shea butter and glycerin.
Both incorporate calendula.
But then they separate.
The Face Cream brings in chamomile and Manuka honey and uses a lighter balance.
The Body Cream puts more emphasis on rich, all-over conditioning.
That's exactly what we wanted.
Not two jars of the same cream.
Two formulas with a shared philosophy, each made for a different part of your routine.
